I finally got my new Audi A4 last Saturday. First brand-new car I ever owned.
It’s the 3.0, with multitronic tranny. I got the sport package (rides a little rough, but I like it) and the leather seats and sunroof. Really cool. 
Originally I wanted the A6, but after driving both, I actually liked the A4 better. Because it’s a little smaller, I think. Just feels better to drive for me.
Plus, it’s several thousand less expensive.
I just had to brag. You gotta understand, I’ve been driving a Windstar minivan for over three years. 
BTW; I think we’re going to see a lot of car makers get on the CVT bandwagon before long. As long as it hold’s up. We’ll see. I like a manual, but I’d play hell out-shifting that thing.

Good car, if a little dull. 
Well built, the sports package makes it a very roadworthy machine indeed. The CVT is a nice invention, haven’t driven it in an Audi though. It’s definitely better looking than an A6!

Oh, an Audi A4. I thought it would be a Douglass A-4. That’s the one I want. Maybe a TA-4J.
I drove one of those too. Nice ride, but fuel consumption really sucks.
Oh, and if you pull the wrong do-hickey the sucker kick’s you out.

Does the AUDI A4 share the same body with the VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT? They look very similar…is it possible to get the Audi performance at a loweer price?
The current Passat shares its platform with the previous A4, IIRC. Both the previous A4 and the Passat are very boring cars to drive, IMHO. The new A4 is a lot more responsive, better feedback, good cornering. It’s not an Alfa or a Peugeot yet, mind you, but with the sports package it’s a damn good front wheel drive.
I apologise if my comparisons are a little Euro-centric. 
The new A4 is a nice and well built car. It isn’t a BMW 3-series, but it i like it more than a Peugeot 406 or Alfa 156 .
Is it a 4motion or a FWD version?

I wanted to attack your preferences in the top 5 car topic, but a 404 is nice to look at, and my preferences there are even worse.
There is nothing wrong with a 406 or 156 but they are just as boring as a Passat / A4. IMHO of course
My printer paper is 210 x 297mm too!
