To check gender, hold the tail perpendicular to the body. If you see two holes, it’s a girl, one, it’s a boy. If s/he’s over 6 weeks, you should see a scrotum, if it’s a boy, although, some boys don’t descend like they should. If it’s a question, see the vet.
Er, for the purposes of sexing kittens, girl kittens have two holes (anus and vulva) and boy kittens have two holes (anus and the opening to the penile sheath). The distance from the anus to the second hole is how to tell what sex they are.

Yeah, it was hard to snap a picture of him, he’s awfully quick to zip away.
