People also seem to underestimate how good a German Shepard or Belgian Malinois can be at parkour, too.

Most episodes I have seen recently features a person calling the police because his or her marijuana plant has been stolen. But then it turns out that this is a state that has recently legalized medical or recreational weed!

What a shocking twist!

And what an opportunity for the cops to get all bug-eyed, obviously chomping at the bit to arrest someone!

Or laugh their asses off and make awkward dope-related puns.

Where I come from (East TN) an officer’s pay is equal to a teachers. ( for both of them.) For a while now a sheepskin is expected for advancement.

One thing I remember about domestic abuse cases is that after the initial pain/shock/reporting, the victim often tries to recant. “But I love him/her!” we used to chorus on Monday, after the weekenders saw a judge, got released and the “loved ones” started trickling in. I think it’s good that the state can press charges now and protect people from themselves. On the show, after presenting scratch/cut marks and pump-knots, the one is usually nuzzling the cuffed one murmuring “I know, baby. I know.”

But if you are in a state in which teachers and cops have fought for decent wages for decades we are now vilified as the greatest threat to civilization since Genghis Khan. Thanks Chris Cristie.

This happened exactly once that I recall. Cops did their job.

Maybe you’re confusing this scenario with one in which they stopped (for some traffic violation) a pickup truck which had a bunch of marijuana trimmings in the back (a not-so-legal growing operation had apparently hired a sad sack to dispose of them).

I saw two academy buddies of mine on Cops. They were partners in Jersey City. As I recall their part wasn’t all that memorable. Just some domestic disturbance.

Yep, since their Unions donate to the Dems and the teachers teach Evolution, not the Bible.
