And now you’re not the only one crying (you’re not helping with that, either, winterhawk.)
RIP, Fanny and Meep.

I’m sorry to hear about Fanny, and what you both went through, velvetjones.
Last year we had to put down our bunny, Nickki, due to health problems that simply couldn’t be fixed or made better. It was an incredibly difficult decision, one that I felt like regardless of what choice I made, it sucked.
Max always used to sleep with us, but when he got weaker and weaker, it was hard for him to jump on the bed, though he obviously wanted to. Our solution was to buy some of those doggie steps, which he used immediately and constantly.
It sounds like your kitty might be in the mood for more constant nighttime compansionship but may have a hard time getting onto the bed. The $100 we paid (though some steps cost less, I believe) was probably the best investment we made in those last few months of his life.
I’m so so sorry about your kitty. It was wonderful that you loved her enough to let her go.
{psst - ArchiveGuy - Fanny is no longer with us.}
Aw, jeeze, velvet. I am so sorry to hear about all of this. My heart goes out to you.
I’m sharing my sympathies with you, as well. We lost our kitty of 22 years last December. It was the right thing to do, but that didn’t make it any easier to actually do, so I know exactly how you feel.
^…^ kitty hugs to you ^…^
