My Solution to the Mortgage Crisis

As it has been since the Great Depression.

Actually no, it isn’t. There is nothing in the Constitution that speaks to corporations. You can argue that there maybe should have been. But your statement is faulse. America is designed for government to have an adversarial relationship with ITSELF.

Well they aren’t “people” so the DSM-IV classification for Antisocial Personality Disorder doesn’t apply. In fact they are only “persons” in a very narrow legal sense.

People who deal with them don’t expect them to adhere to ethical or moral stances. They expect them to adhere to financial and legal stances. That is why we have so many accountants and lawyers in this country.

No one is asking the corporations to like it.

I don’t think anyone was arguing that it was. As you can see above, I’m not a fan of this idea. I just pointed out the news story because it’s relevant to the discussion.

The personhood of corporations is a creation of the Supreme Court in an 1886 decision. It was a farce of a case.

The homes held in banks are terribly overpriced. If they were listed at their real value the black ink for the bank statements would turn red immediately. That is why if they will renegotiate, it will be with interest rates ,not home cost.
If the real red ink was on the books, the bankers could not justify their enormous bonuses . Not that they care. But tye stockholders would see how bad off the banks really are.
