My TiVo died! The hell do I do now?!

I came home from a really awful terrible no good bad day at work, and I made a horrifying discovery. My TiVo was frozen! It had done this once before and a reboot made it all well, but TiVo wasn’t having it tonight.

What in hell am I supposed to do now? My new TiVo will ship tomorrow (overnighted, of course!), but whatever shall I do in the interim? Watch live TV, like some Luddite? With commercials  and at the mercy of the network schedules?

Serious withdrawal here, people. I’ve had a TiVo since 2001 and this specific one since 2003. I just can’t cope with this right now.

Way mundane, and completely pointless, but my brother’s out of town so I have to bitch to y’all about it.

I have this weird clock on top of my TV. In addition to telling time it can record television programs. It’s been awhile and I don’t remember what their proper name is, but you need to buy these narrow plastic boxs with black tape in them. You then shove one into the machine. When it fills up you either need need to buy another one or record over stuff. I think in the olden days they sold them with movies alread on them.

I dunno what to tell ya Bambi except that I’m sorry to hear of your loss.

Plus, I’m sure Dan will get an ear-ful when he gets back. Go easy on the kid, eh?
