I am still getting treatment (chemotherapy) for my breast cancer. For a few cycles of chemo, I couldn’t complete the full treatment because of low white cell counts, and hight blood pressure. I had a full treatment last month and my tumor marker tests went down by about 20…points? I don’t know what to call them. (They had gone up slightly or stalled before.) I go for another tumor marker test next week. My oncologist says the median time for someone to be on the chemo I’m on is one year. I’ve been on it for about 10 months now.
In addition to teaching fourth grade, pretty much full time…I take off about one day a week for treatment, I’m doing a 30 day Bikram yoga challenge. I’m taking 30 classes in 30 days. But, I’m a little crazy, I want to take one day off of yoga per week, so I do two classes on Mondays…one at 6 am and one at 430 pm. I find yoga keeps me healthy and energetic and looking well despite my circumstances.
I got into a car accident which totalled my 2002 Toyota Corolla. So now I’m driving a 2008 Ford Escape. I just registered it. I’m getting personalized plates: YOGAIL. (see it’s yoga and it’s Gail
You sure are busy!
Thanks for the updates and stay healthy!
Why, you under-acheiver! You can’t manage to work in solving world hunger, too?
Good luck on passing the tumor marker test. Study hard!
What do you think about 4th Grade? My grandmother taught 3rd and 4th grades for 20 years. She liked the age - she said they were too old to be babies and too young to be brats. The brat thing may’ve change by now.

I find myself having to have a new type of patience, because fourth graders seem so immature. They tattle, they don’t mind their own business, etc. I enjoyed fifth graders because they were more likely to get my jokes, had a longer attention span. I don’t know maybe there’s not much difference and it’s just these fourth graders,
