The doctor told me this was a possibility, and it worried me as I have fantastic night vision (all those years of cow tippin’ and ‘snipe hunting’ ;)). After my vision cleared and crisped a few days after surgery I did notice it slightly. Now I don’t notice it at all - whether it has disappeared or gotten used to it I don’t know.
One thing that happened though, is that crying is quite painful now and my eyes get really puffy. Very annoying.
Very few insurance will cover it Amp. I know my old one would cover so you’d “only” have to pay 1500 per eye.
And CrankyAsAnOldMan, my friend’s friend went to Montreal just for a week-end to have it done there. It was half the cost and they have (from what I was told) very good equipment/experience with it.
My wife has just passed the two-week point since her surgery. Here’s the latest.
Scuba_Ben, she did at first see “halos” around bright objects at night, but that has diminished quite a bit. She says if they keep fading at this rate they’ll be gone in another week or so.
Also, the bloodred areas on the white of her left eye, so charmingly reminiscent of a massive brain blowout, have receded to a slender red crescent at the edge of the iris.
