I had a strange experience today while visiting the latrines: sounded like a woman in heels came clacking into the toilets… (i’m a guy).
She/he (?) went into the cubicle next to me & well there was a pretty strong smell of perfume. No guy could get away with that at work no matter how gay, so i’m thinking maybe theres a Transexual started work. Is that standard practice for a TS in the workplace to use the men’s room?
Alternatively someone wants me and I missed my chance! Doh!
I was so disoriented for a minute I thought I’d went into the ladies by mistake - sat there waiting for a quiet moment to sneak out. Was I relieved to see urinals.
Transsexuals almost always live as their newly-assigned sexual body for a long time (even before the surgery), so it would be rare indeed if it was a M-to-F using the men’s room.
Women never cross-pee at my work. Never. It’s a huge building and we have lots and lots of toilets for the ladies.
Maybe that person made a mistake? (Yeah, I know, urinals, but sometimes if men’s bathrooms are converted to women’s bathrooms they just leave the urinals in place.) I was in the women’s restroom at work, sitting in the stall, when I heard the door open, and someone went into the stall next to me. I didn’t hear the stall door close, and suddenly zipsound of liquid pouring into the bowl. I glanced down and yes, feet facing the bowl. Men’s shoes. I kept quiet, figuring he was probably in a hurry and didn’t notice.
Otherwise, I’d bet she needed to go badly and the women’s bathroom was full. I don’t think I’d do that at work unless it was a dire emergency, though.
In parliament house in NZ or Oz there was one occasion where there were more female members assigned to a group of offices than male members so they had to switch toilets (said toilets having been designed for more males than females). Rather than remove the urinal the female members used it for a pot plant holder.
Women have a limited sense of embarassment when it comes to urgent bladder scenarios. If a woman’s gotta pee she’s not going to wait for ladies room. When they gotta let go women will muscle their way in anywhere.
A transsexual would only use the men’s restroom if forced to by extremely insensitive management. What that almost certainly was is a woman who needed to pee and didn’t want to wait for a stall to open up in the women’s restroom. Many buildings have fewer women’s restrooms than men’s restrooms.
