I just finished it. The myth is: if you take two phone books and interleave their pages, it is practically impossible to pull them apart.
This was a fun myth and one of the more interesting shows in a while. Anyone else see it?

I saw that one a while ago. I was absolutely stunned that a thousand phone book pages could create enough friction to overcome the force of a pair of trucks!
Yeah, that was pretty amazing. I am going to have to recreate that on a smaller scale for my students.
It is unfortunate, though, that they have to keep filling time by having the mythterns blow stuff up. It was fun the first few times, but it’s getting old now. The blowing up of the shark was just kind of stupid.
Yeah, they are clearly running out of things to do. Blowing stuff up can only go so far. The one disappointment I had was that they didn’t build a machine to interleave the books. That would have added a little extra something.
That would have been cool, but it would have been way more complicated and time-intensive than just doing it themselves, since they only have to do it once.
They showed two sets interweaved books at least once when they were showing the differences between the tank rig and the car rig.
