N. NJ Folk: Best Route of Least Resistance?

What is the best way from Wayne, NJ to New Brunswick. Actually, I am headed to the Delaware Memorial Bridge (ultimately). Naturally, you may think “head to the NJTP”. But, there are a few options here:
a) Get to the NJTP ASAP
b) Get to the Garden State Parkway and NJTP via US 202 and US 46
c) Get to the Garden State Parkway and NJTP via NJ 24
d) Go around I-287 to New Brunswick entrance to the NJTP.

I will be traveling this route come Sunday. Again, think path of least resistance.

I would say A. On a Sunday you won’t be dealing with rush hour so it won’t be too bad. The sooner you get away from roads with traffic lights the better.

You’re way overthinking this. Take Rte 46/3 to the Turnpike south. (This is your option A)

Check the traffic before you go. If there is some sort of massive issue on the Turnpike, jump on the Parkway south from 46/3. Then hop on the Turnpike when you get to exit 129-ish.

On a Sunday there will probably be little traffic on the Turnpike I think. Probably your best bet.

Ask Waze or Google Maps. They take into account the current traffic and will plot a route that is best for that particular time.

Second this, the solution is already done, no reason the reinvent the wheel. Not saying that experience can’t be added and other things tested, but real time traffic and routing is a very good base on which to build on.

I assumed he didn’t know how to use such things, which is why he asked.

Once you get somewhere south of Trenton, I-295 can be used as a free alternate to the NJTpk (not sure what the cost savings is, though)
