Name a specific movie you won't watch for love or money.

Fortunately (?) I like that one.

If I really wanted to commit suicide by quote-smothering I’d diss Monty Python

The English Patient

The Passion of the Christ

Chicago

Moulin Rouge

And 95% of all other musicals.

If anyone knows where I can get the two hours of my life back after seeing The Notebook, I’d like to submit a claim.

ETA: Oh yeah. I hate mafia movies too. Add all of The Godfather movies to my ilst.

Aliens 4 is a movie I would never watch again, even if you included Heather Graham and Jodie Foster in the deal.

Pink Flamingos

I have actually liked a lot of John Water’s movies - I love “Female Trouble”, but that one I have made a conscious decision to never see.

I will not have anything to do with Twilight. Not the movies, not the books. Nada. You can’t make me for anything.

“These blow up into funny shapes?”
“No. Unless round is funny.”

I had to do it.

Sophie’s Choice

“That scene” is simply unbearable. Moreso now that I have kids myself.

Any Adam Sandler movie. The guy is as funny to me as navel lint.

I’ve had “Grave of the Fireflies” on my shelf for a couple of years now, and still have not worked up the mood to watch it. I’m still scarred from watching “When the Wind Blows” 20 years ago, so I don’t know why I even own the movie.

Any of the torture porn films. Saw, Hostel, Human Centipede, etc.
Not because I can’t handle them and they creep me out but rather I can’t understand why anybody would want to watch something like that? Anybody that enjoys making or watching something like that has some really weird issues going on IMHO.

Either of the Sex in the City movies. I’ve seen a couple episodes of the TV show. Are they really trying to get me to hate women? Self centered, whiny, materialistic bitches. How adorable.

Se7en. Disgusting, and, worse yet, so very very predictable.

Also, The Ring. This was an indescribably stupid and not-scary movie that somehow gave me nightmares that annoyed me while I was having them. Ugh! Worst of all worlds.

Why didn’t you like this movie? I thought it was actually one of Nicolas Cage’s best films, second only to Wild at Heart. James Gandolfini, Peter Stormare and Joaquin Phoenix are also in it!

Just one? - won’t watch Top Gun, any of the Rambo moview, any of the Star Wars prequels, any Twilight movies, torture porn - ever. I’m sure there’s more, including a few with graphic rape scenes as major plot points… That still leaves lots of wonderful films, ya know?

That.

It’s easier to do genres than list them all:

Anything after Jaws with Spielberg’s name on it.
Anything with Adam Sandler’s name on it.
Any Star Wars.
Horror porn.
Teen Paranormal Romances.
Any “Fantasy” (ie. Lord of the Rings, Avatar).
Any “action” movie after Die Hard.
Any non-erotic movie that uses harnesses to throw people around (except Kill Bill).
Any Pixar.
Anything where the trailer makes clear there are shots that are too short for your brain to register what you’re seeing.

There’s only so many hours in a day.

Saw. Or any of its ilk.

I was over at a friend’s house one evening when she and her husband decided I just had to watch Saw.

“No, thanks. You have hundreds of other movies; I don’t watch horror movies and you both know it.”

They kept at me until I finally told them I would leave if they put that movie on. I do not watch horror movies. I do not enjoy them and they give me nightmares.

Aunt Ida makes me hide behind the couch. Every time.

But I wouldn’t watch that Sarah Palin turkey. There are others I won’t watch, but I choose to use that one in this thread.

Any Fockers movie.

(Runner up, the only movie I’ve ever walked out of: SubUrbia)

The torture porn genre does not interest me.

This will be something for which I’ll receive grief, and I don’t care. Forrest Gump. Just…no. NO. I can’t even adequately explain why not, just…maybe it came out at a time when I was sick of the “the only wise people are the foolish ones” meme.

Scarface
Starship Troopers
The Passion of the Christ
any of the Mad Max oeuvre

…and anything where the dog dies at the end.

I found it sickening and only finished it out of a morbid curiosity as to where they would end the story. I would never go through that again by choice.
