I always thought that ihram was a ritual that required specific clothing, but was not aware that it actually referred to the dress itself.

A small jacket, usually worn more loose than a doublet, the Ionar is a traditional Irish garment. The version shown in most woodcuts shows the ionar coming down to the ribs with a “peplum” around the bottom.
