My daughter and her friends used to get together, calling it Stitch-n-Bitch. I think the yarn work was an excuse to complain about spouses/boyfriends/jobs/life.
Sorry I have nothing more clever than that to offer. I do my knitting in front of the TV and pass it on to an AARP chapter that distributes the afghans/hats/scarves/shawls where they’re needed.
