Name that study! (women v men) hirees in university

I need the dopers to remind me of a study.

It’s a classic example of the misuse of statistics.
It’s about the gender bias in the hiring of staff in a respected university, and at first it seems that women are being discriminating against, but then, when they break it down by department, the men are at a disadvantage.

It is really famous, but I can’t remember enough specifics to dig it out via google.

Are you referring to Simpson’s Paradox and the Berkeley Sex Bias case? Simpson's paradox - Wikipedia

BAM!

I never realised that someone tried to sue because of it.
~EDIT: Thank you, that was doing my nut in.
