Name that tune.. "Death can be fun"

For years now, I’ve been hunting for an old punk song that dates back to around 1978 or so. I know the title, I remember some of the lyrics, but I’ve never been able to trace it down. I heard this live at a gig in Denver, I seem to recall the singer telling who wrote it, it was something like Kinky Friedman or Buzzy Linhart, but I checked their song catalogs and there’s nothing like it. I’d love to track down a recording of this song, just for posterity.
The song is apparently titled “Death can be fun” and it has a refrain that goes something like this:

“Come on everybody, come and kill your poppa,
come on everybody, kill your momma too.
Death can be fun, death can be fun for everyone…”

Anyone every heard this tune? Anyone know who wrote it, or who performed it, or where I can get a recording?
