Help me identify this character actor, who mostly appeared in guest spots on TV westerns in the 70s like Little House on the Prairie, etc.: He was an older, round-faced man with white hair who always wore a bowler. He laughed a lot and said things like, “You got that right.” … if I remember correctly.

Yep, that’s who I’d guess. Most of those classic western extras were in Back To The Future Part III, because they’ve come to represent the old time west just by their distinctive characterisations.
Yes, that’s him. Thanks. I remember seeing him in the Back to the Future sequel and thinking, “wow, he’s been around forever.”
