I was just watching Family Guy and it showed Peter with big-wigs from Washington, a dead stripper, and they said she “had no family, it would be like she never existed”…
Was this a play on a movie? I seem to remember a movie where some very influential people killed a stripper by mistake (I think by dropping her on her head) and it just got out of control…
Is this a movie? Did I dream it? What is it called? Is it even real?
Wow…very fast and accurate…I’m completely proud…that took little to no time at all, and I was waiting around to come back and read…man, would’ve been better to just hit refresh
There’s also a scene in The Godfather, Part II that’s similar. Michael looks for the support of a local politician in getting a gaming license for his casino, and the man flatly rejects him (calling Michael, IIRC, a greasy wop thug). In the next scene, the politician wakes up (looking like he’s been drugged) in a hotel room with a dead hooker next to him and Michael’s men taking photos. Tom Hagen gives the politician the same kind of reassuring “don’t worry about any of this, just make the right decision and everything will be ok” talk. In the following scene, the politician is speaking before the legislature very enthusiastically about the contributions the Italian community has made to society.
Actually, it was a US senator, not a local politician, and he woke up in a room in a brothel owned by Fredo Corleone, not a hotel room. Michael Corleone and Tom Hagen were there and Tom said, “This girl has no family. Nobody knows that she worked here. It’ll be as if she never existed.”
Thanks, it’s been a while since I saw it. I thought at first it was a senator, but why would a senator be blocking Michael’s gaming license? Was Michael trying to get him to call off the senate investigation into the mafia?
Senator Geary was tryng to squeeze the Corleones for a bigger piece of the casino pie, and he made some disparaging remarks about Italian-Americans too.
