Name this movie (Or T.V. Show/Episode)

I don’t expect anyone to answer this–because I can provide so little in the way of memories and familiarity.

When I was -REALLY- little, I remember seeing a sci-fi deal on TV–I can’t even remember if it was a movie, or an episode from a TV show. I think it was a movie, because I recall seeing cinema-style rolling credits at the end.

The only thing I can -remember- from this feature was a little about the protagonist. He was referred to simply as ‘Carl’, and was some type of machine. A cyborg, most likely. He had this interesting quirk.

When he would get too close to people–he would kill them. Unwillingly. Proximity was the trigger that set him off.

I’m 18 years old. So any ideas would have to be in the mid-80s or earlier. I wish I could provide more details, but I can’t. Every so often and again I recall the memory of watching this movie–and am absolutely distraught because I can remember no title.

Finding the title is worth obscene sexual favors from me. I mean it.

That could be The Vindicator. The plot was about an employee of a company doing special weapons research gets transformed into a killing machine that must destroy anything that comes near him. It was made in 1986. Now, how do I go about collecting on those obscene sexual favors?

Yep, The Vidicator - one of the best SF films shot in Montreal in 1986.

Just out of curiosity, how many SF films were shot in Montreal in 1986?

Geeze–I didn’t think anyone stood a chance in hell of helping me, but it looks like ya’ve found it.

1986…damn…I was -4- years old when I saw this movie…I wonder if it warped my fragile little mind at all.

Smitty–you got my email address. If you’re ever in my area and you want to collect…
