The Jolasveinar or “Yuletide Lads/Christmas men/etc” Are an Icelandic folktale. There are currently 13 recognized names, though according to all my research about them they may have as many as 70 names. I can’t seem to find anything about these variations or regional names, nor the source from which the internet pages about them gets this figure. I really would like to get a comprehensive list of the various names of these guys but i can’t seem to find anything, and I admit my google-fu is weak. Cursory search will get you the 13 plus a few extra but not a list.
Can anyone help?
