And the first five Leonards were probably not released for good reason seeing how bad #6 was.
I heard the first one really lit 'em up in previews!
I’m so ashamed of myself.
Since it’s the second flick, it’s called Malcolm In The Middle.
Yeah, that one’s always bothered me too.
I still think the last movie should have been named “Rambo II: First Blood Part III”.
Actually, it seems as though both “2” and “II” were used for the film version in the UK (see movie poster here). The TV series on which it was based was apparently always “II”, however.
I was just thinking about Quatermass 2 the other day, after reading this thread about the radiation-loving black fungi thriving in the Chernobyl reactor. Hope nobody falls in…

The Quatermass TV series were before my time, but they’re apparently now out on DVD. Have you seen them, Cal? If so, what do you think?

The King and II
Sadly, I can’t take credit for that one.
wouldn’t have spaceballs 2: the quest for more money been the first sequel to be released before the original had finished production?
They actually came out on VHS, before the advent of DVD, and I picked up the TV serial of “Quatermass and the Pit” (Actually, the scripts were published by Penguin books in the 1960s, and I have copies of those. I lucked out.) My verdict: I like the ship from the TV version better, and they don’t make some of the stupid mistakes of the movie (“It’s a pentacle”, sais Quatermass, meaning “pentagram”, only the mark isn’t a pentagram.), and the style of the TV show seems more realistic. On the other hand, it’s so sl-o-o-o-o-o-o-w and b-o-o-o-o-oring.
Also, the TV serial plots are a bit different. Quatermass Xperiment on TV ends differently from the movie. The climactic demon “Hob” for Quatermass and the Pit looks better from TV than from the feature film.
I’m still waiting for The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Against the World Crime League, dammit.
I still think the second movie should have been Second Blood.
