NaNoNaNoNaNo... WriMo!

I’m right on track at 11,227 at the end of the weekend. My novel (I’m cheating–adding 50K words to an existing novel instead of starting a new one) is at about 86,000 words now, and I anticipate it’ll hit 125-130K before it’s done. And this one was supposed to be a nice short little palate-clearer between big story arcs.

I amuse me sometimes.

I should probably know this already… but what does the thread title come from, or mean, anyway?

I’m guessing it’s a riff on the old Batman theme (“Nananananananana…Batman!”)

You got it.

Thanks. And “WriMo”?

I’m sorry, maybe I didn’t make it explicit. This thread is about National Novel Writing Month, which is NaNoWriMo for short. (www.nanowrimo.org.) The purpose for the month of November is to write 50,000 words in 30 days. I was just playing around with the thread title.

BTW: I am SO fucking behind, you guys. Ugh.

The website isn’t counting my words correctly. It says I only have 1482 words.

Thanks for the explanation - and good luck with your writing!

I’m way behind you, SW. I’m having so much stuff going on this month and last one, maybe instead of a novel I should have written a diary!

It won’t let you add to your count?

I went in and updated my total word count. I think I’m back on track now, but I don’t know what I was doing wrong. I had a busy day today…I plan on writing some more tomorrow.
