NASCAR Fantasy Racing on Yahoo 2011

I’m back in.

That’s eight; plenty of room for more.

Cutoff for driver selection for the first race is is Sunday morning.

I’m still trying to decide if I wanna do it again this year. I’m not really sure whether I wanna deal with it or just enjoy NASCAR without the “pressure” of a fantasy team. LOL.

My brother (who is not a Doper) is interested in joining; he’s in another league on Yahoo and maybe he can add his same team to ours, or maybe he’ll do two teams. I’ll send him an invite.

Got a few last-minute joins and the group is up to 12 teams. Good luck, everyone.

Was an exciting finish. Plus the race was exciting as well. I prefer the 2 car team-up arrangements over the old style single file freight train. I can’t even imagine driving that way at 200 mph, for 500 miles

As for points, this race always slays me.

Good race indeed.

But not so good for my picks, three crashes and one engine problem, can you say Ouch.

Well I can only go up from here.

Hooray, I got second place!

But my brother got first. Drat. So much for family bragging rights.

damn, forgot to make driver adjustments for Vegas…Oh well, cross fingers and hope for the best…

I think Martin Truex Jr. has a shot this year

Yeah, I managed to make it 2 races before forgetting this year.

Well, I guess that works at times. My first weekly “win” in a long time

This may be my first time at the top of the standings, in the five(?) years I’ve been participating. I doubt it will last, but in the meantime, y’all can eat my dust!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I’m still in last place.

If only I could pick drivers that avoid crashes or manage to keep their engine together for the whole race, I’d be fine.

Quick, somebody take a picture of me in the lead before I spin out and hit a wall

Pretty quiet bunch of competitors this year…

I only got to watch the last half of Sunday’s race, but it was an exciting finish. Thought for sure Dale Jr was going to break his winner’s circle drought, but no.

I was in the lead after Week One. Now I look back on that as a golden age. Sigh.

I’ve been mired in the middle of the pack for most of the season – until this week, when I began my dramatic run for the bottom. (Still clinging to second place in my money league, though. Dopers make for better competition, I guess.)
