I like red wine and coke. A girl from Madrid introduced me to the delights of red wine and coke - it’s called callimucho and I think it’s a Madrid thing. It’s great with grilled chicken.
I agree that koumiss is disgusting. I’ll take a shot at describing the taste.
It’s like weak vodka with a cheesy flavor and an almost metallic tang. I drank it in a ceremony, out of a silver bowl, so that didn’t help matters. The aftertaste was the worst bit. Metallic and cheesy and at that moment I would have done just about anything to get it out of my mouth. Ugh. :shudders at the memory.:
One of my many bartender friends makes these, but he calls them Brain Stems. They’re actually mighty tasty shots.
