We both got it at the same time, but it was pretty soft. My lovely wife got a message with the tone; I did, too, but it vanished immediately. We have different carriers and different phone manufacturers.
I know this was a test but. I have an iPhone with all the alert functions turned to off and still the alert sounded! Very loud noise and there was a written message but when I went back a few minutes later to read the message it was gone? What good is it to have an emergency message if you can’t go back and reread/verify what was sent?
What do you bet some hacker gonna glom onto this and use it for a scam? I can see people pulling out their credit cards and pay pal accounts.
But I know if they ask for gift cards to be suspect.
Any of you feeling a sniffle, maybe a slightly scratchy throat, or something just not quite right since the alert?
It’s probably your vaccine nanoparticles disgorging their payload of Marburg virus, Ebola, staphylococcus, E. coli and brewer’s yeast in response to the 18 gigahertz pulses. Take heart, it’ll all be over soon and you won’t have to worry about the '24 election.
Mine made a noise, but not an extremely loud one. I opened it, saw the text message, and hit OK before I’d finished reading it: at which point the whole thing disappeared and I couldn’t find it again anywhere. (No, it’s not in Notifications; nor is it in Messages.)
If hitting OK would make all the information instantly disappear in a real alert, that strikes me as a very bad idea.
For people with older phones, they have a staff of operators who call these numbers individually. This may take some time. Your call is scheduled for November 15th at 3:15 Eastern Time.
Actually, I got the screaming alert signal about one minute after I posted that. I will clear that time on my calendar, though, in case they want to add a personal touch. LOL
