And this year it fell on my birthday, thereby proving that even old dogs have our day!

My three beagles were especially appreciated yesterday. They got a bit of cooked ground sirloin in their breakfast and dinner, plus a taste of ham for a snack in the evening. Of course this was in addition to the walks and noogies and treats they normally get. They deserve every bit of it too.
Reminds me of this I saw awhile back!
Well, yeah. It’s way too much excitment for one day to lump the doggies in with my bday. World productivity probably took big hit on 8/27.
LOL, yep! Greyhounds have a different mindset from other breeds, a lot like this. There’s a mini debate between race kennel people and adopters. The kennel people think we take their hardened athletes and turn them into spun-sugar princesses. My take is that they start the transformation when they bring the young pups in from the farm and put them into private, air-conditioned apartments and wait on them hand and foot. So there!
But yes, both of mine are divas.
My husband saw our current hound off the day he was to move from the puppy farm to the finishing facility - gave him a hug and a kiss. The farm manager said, “Hey, don’t do that, you’ll turn him into a pussy!” 
He turned into a fine racer and then a great pet. Every day is a Dog Day here.
