National Fraternal Order of Police endorses Trump - Mask isn't just slipping it's being thrown away

Such as?

This is all I could find. I didn’t look too hard though.

Police officers do have poor relations with black people (and the mentally ill). Why is admitting to institutional bias a sign of being anti-police?

I’d be curious to hear who you view as being Trump’s “leftist” counterparts.

Should you choose to respond, please bear in mind that to legitimately wear the label “leftist,” one should ideally be on the “left.”

Just looking at her website, lots of things seem to imply that she thinks police generally are racist:

The highlighted portions seem to be criticism of the whole institution, not just the worst officers. YMMV.

They do very rarely shoot the non-criminals.

Because it is a criticism of the whole institution, and not invalid. It’s the kind of criticism the police need to be able and willing to take on board: Implicit Bias is a thing and it needs to be addressed.

Cop unions always endorse the repub. Nothing to see here.

They rarely shoot anyone. And no one is a criminal until after they’ve been convicted.

Perhaps what you meant to say is “They rarely shoot anyone other than suspects.” Which is both true and in many, many cases, deplorable.

That is a dark fucking road you’re choosing to go down.

Police Unions are not “the police” The union has to support things that are good for the police in general. If I was the policeman’s union, I would vote for Trump. Hillary couldn’t even be bothered to fill out their questionnaire. I mean WTF???

Its a shitty job and it takes a lot o character not to become a shitty person when you have such a shitty job.

They endorsed Clinton over Dole in 1996.

Absolutely on point. It is a hard job, and calling them all racist was, and is, a sure way to push them to vote for Trump.

And yet Clinton didn’t do this.

Look, there are good unions and bad unions. FOP is one of the worst unions out there. For all the grief AFT and NEA get, they don’t waste time defending members who harm those in their care. They don’t spend time threatening people who speak out against them. FOP is terrible, and police ought to disassociate themselves from this group.

“I was going to vote for whom I considered to be the better/saner candidate, but since you insulted me/us I/we are going to vote for El Stupido!”
Does anyone with an I.Q. over 65 really believe that to be a valid claim, or is it just a tired excuse?

You are a fool if you believe that Trump supporters have the highest IQ’s.
I didn’t think you needed it explained that when you insult people they go away.

Friends are like snowflakes, you piss on em, and they go away.

They were Trump supporters to begin with-I’m saying that it wasn’t any supposed or imaginary insults that drove them away, because they were always away.

OK, who did that now?

~But you can’t hold a whole police fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn’t we blame the whole police fraternity system? And if the whole police fraternity system is guilty, then isn’t this an indictment of our justice institutions in general? I put it to you–isn’t this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we’re not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

I wonder if Trump had his foundation buy that six-foot portrait so he can put up giant replicas in public spaces if he wins–a la Chairman Mao, Saddam, and that funny little guy in Korea, among others.

That is the reason why many cops have no business being cops.

Keep up that attitude. Trump needs it.
