National Review on Obama's birth & citizenship

To be fair it’s not as if a significant number of Republicans doubt Obama’s citizenship either. While the National Review may be in the conservative mainstream, the birther view never was. It’s gross that some politicians are indulging this insanity, but then again, the House is pretty much a zoo anway, so it’s not surprising there are 10 nuts who are willing to play with the birthers for fame and votes.

I don’t think I agree that the numbers are not significant. That nutbag lady who was screaming at that Congressman had the support of the whole room.

Right wing boards and even mainstream news site comment sections are saturated with birthers, and no reasonable majority is speaking out to stop them.

And Zell Miller endorsed Clinton in 1991. What’s your point?

Lou Dobbs is a racist immigration nut, and he’s certainly no liberal.

There’s no such thing as an ineligible ticket. If the President is unable to serve for whatever reason, then the Vice President assumes the role.

You didn’t understand it because it was ridiculous and nonsensical.

If it came out tomorrow that Obama was born in Kenya, the President would be… Barack H. Obama.

He has been sworn into office. He’s the President. It’s a fait accompli. How do you get him out of office? I suppose Congress could impeach him but they wouldn’t.

I suppose you could sue, but that lawsuit could be tied up in court from now until the cows come home by virtue of arguments and appeals over whether he was born American anyway, due to his mother, or de facto recognition, blah blah blah.
