Well, anyways, last year we had some good times. Remember Hawaii? That was a blast. I hope folks there are still drinking Metric Blue Hawaiians. And, of course, the whole “1984” thing… Good times. I see that the Dopestani Order has moved, so I just thought I’d post the good news over here.

Just curious - how many NationStates dopers read the book because of the game?
I’m one. I’d seen the book in the bookstore, and passed on it. Then I read about the game in the Sunday paper and signed-in. Finally, I had to read the book out of a mixture of weird guilt and curiosity.

My nation was Great Newington Butts by the way. I haven’t really paid much attention to nationstates recently, i’m not even sure if the invasions and stuff are still going on. My nation even got deleted due to inactivity, i resurrected it but haven’t done much with it.
We have a promo copy lying around the house, but I haven’t got around to reading it yet.
I bought it and read it. It’s fantastic. Truly inspired.

Giedi_Prime is still growing, although I dismiss most of the dilemmas and let the populace run wild. You can’t tell 2.5 billion people what to do all of the time, no matter how you try.
I never read the book- no time to read and surf.
I think I’m just sticking it out until the site quits, or until something interesting happens. If only you could actually do anything…

That’s why I read it. People who think Good Omens is the funniest book ever have obviously not read Jennifer Government. Any book that can make a mini-fridge the focus of a hysterical scene…

I think the unicorns have overrun the populace by now and the survivors are holed up in caves, questing for fire. Poor Alluuna, I should really go and see the mess it has become but I never wanted to hunt unicorns for dinner, darn it. And the kids liked selling lemonade, why crush their hopes and dreams? sigh
I had a NationState once, but I got sick of the recurring problems, and left it alone to die of neglect.
It did prompt me to read Jennifer Government , however. A mediocre read, IMHO.
That’s great to hear man, congratulations!! We haven’t crashed regions that much lately, but it’s probably just a dry spell. We seem to crush other regions later in the year anyways. My nation is Happyplace by the way.
I’m the benevolent dictator of the Republic of Thallassa. I also read the book after seeing the site and reading the blurb about it. It’s great, and I use the green eye with the tattoo as my AIM icon, as well as on various message boards as my avatar. 
Alas, The Holy Empire of Disgruntled Elves can not reform. So I took the few surviors and formed a new nation The Holy Empire of More Disgruntled Elves. Of course they are, they’ve been forced to move! I promise to try to curb their violent tendencies.
I think I’m the only Doper who got into NS as much as I have. If I recall… the control over my life has gotten pretty extensive. I read the book about a year ago. The ending was “eh”, but the rest of it was very good.
As for Jumangku, that’s fantastic. I remember you were crazy about her. Sad to see you go though. You sure you’re going to go with her over folks you know on the internet? There’s still time, you know.
