Obviously trying to infiltrate spies. Although it’s way too small to be an Me-109.
BTW, that was an emergency landing, not a crash.
A lot of people want a warbird, and military schemes are common among homebuilders. Homebuilders, and owners of actual warbirds sometimes paint them in enemy colours. I understand why people would get upset, but it’s just one of those Walter Mitty things in aviation.
Apart from the paint scheme, that plane looks little like a WW2 warbird.
Can one of our resident aviators identify the actual plane?
Well after taking care of the Devil, I don’t think the Nazis have a chance.
Looks like a Sonex B to me.
I thought the German campaign to invade the Caucasus didn’t get that far.
ETA: Oh, that Georgia.
Man, I hate Georgian Nazis.
::shakes fist at outlierrn::
This was not just any Nazi, but a delusional one who believes himself to be the ruler of all Nazis - he’s a Faux King Nazi.
That looks like a match to me.
He should have bought one of these instead at least it resembles a very small BF109f
The news report identifies it as a Sonex. :smack:
Here’s a Sonex for sale on eBay.
Of course, you’ll have to supply your own Luftwaffe paint scheme.
