NBA Prediction - BUCKS win the East!!

Nice prediction Sledman. Just getting this far is impressive enough for me.

JDeMobray, Mullinator, Grendel69 - I think you boys owe Sledman some props.

Dignan - still feel the same about McGrady?

Grendel69 - nice call on the ROY!

Alright…

I admit it I was going to bring this back up myself when the time was right. My boys are looking good. They made the conference final and got off to a bad start in game 1.

Bring on game 2. From what I saw on the faces of the Bucks players at the end of game 1 they would have been willing to start game 2 as soon as the final horn sounded for game 1.

No matter what happens they have shown a lot. They did a lot of growing up during the Charlotte series and that spells trouble for Philly. Might still end up being the lamb to LA’s slaughter but I refuse to concede that point either. Swept the Laker’s, swept the Spurs, swept the Kings and swept the Jazz… Houston and Vancouver on the other hand…

Series tied 1-1.

Iverson banged up. Bucks feeling more confidence and coming home. It will be a good Memorial day weekend rain or shine.

Things learned this post season….

Do not watch games at JL’s….(All losses)

Games should be watched at Joe’s(all wins).

GO BUCKS!!!

Mmmmmmm, Crow

You da man, Sleddy. Hope you’re watching the game at Stonefront’s today.
GO BUCKS!

Sixers all the way!

I would rethink that prediction after today’s game. The Bucks could barely beat the Sixers at home WITHOUT Iverson . . and today, even though the Bucks thought they were playing ice hockey, still couldn’t stop “The Answer” despite all their horrible cheap shots and elbows in the 4th quarter. Milwaukee is a small hillbilly town, and let’s face it . . EVERYONE wants to see Allen Iverson take on the Lakers, not the Sucks. Even your beer is horrible.

The Bucks have an overpriced coach . .and an overpriced Glenn Robinson who can’t control his temper and got thrown out of the game.

Sorry Cheeseheads . . .I guess there’s nothing worse for a Midwesterner than to have a Gangsta with tattoos all over his body teamed with a scary, 7-0 African stud come in to your house and punk you like the bitches you are, BUT . .
GO SIXERS!!!

Oh, by the way, my apologies to the Fonz, Laverne & Shirley, Lenny & Squiggy, Ralph & Potsie, and the Cunningham Family.

Okay, while my awesome predictive powers have already been shown on this thread, I would personally give the Bucks a slightly better chance at taking a game (or even two) against the Lakers (whom I detest) than the Sixers. So just speaking personally, I would much rather see a Bucks / Lakers finals and cling to the slim possiblity that I wouldn’t have to hear Lakers “fans” gloating about a perfect postseason from now till the end of time.

Alright…cooling down…

Last 2 games have been rather trying.

No matter what the Dog has to hit that shot… we had a chance to win and ultimately that is what you have to ask for and all you really can ask for.

Now as for the officiating…

I don’t care if the Bucks do pull this series out. Which I still think they will… how do these guys sleep at night??

Anyway, no matter what, it was a good year for my boys and next year maybe we will be on the other end of the screw job…

Of course Ray Allen isn’t exactly making friends with David Stern so the fix might not be in for us next year…

“Did everyone enjoy last night’s incompetent referee crew for Game Five of the Sixers-Bucks series? Ladies and gentleman, Ronnie Nunn, Bernie Fryer and Bennett Salvatore!!! Three of the greats! Apparently Violet Palmer was caught in traffic. And what were the odds, the Sixers had a 28-16 FT advantage??? You think I make this stuff up… the NBA is edging dangerously close to WWF territory here. Watch them assign the best refs possible to Game Six in Milwaukee to give the Sixers every possible chance to close the series out – I’m predicting Steve Javie, Joey Crawford and Dick Bavetta. Team Stern wants Iverson vs. Shaq & Kobe and they will NOT be denied.”
-Bill Simmons, the Boston Sportsguy

F’ all that!

I have one thing to say to The Answer, Dikembe, Coach Brown, and the Sixers:

Ahhh…Phooey!!!

Nice run but the stars (aka marketing gurus) were aligned against us. Still Glenn needs to make that shot in Game 5… Next time he will!!

I will withhold my comments about Iverson and company.

On to the offseason… Cassell, Hunter and Caffey for Payton. Think Seattle would bite. Not if they watched the last series but who knows.

Don’t get me wrong…I love Sam I Am. He is a top point guard but his distribution isn’t the greatest. The Glove could be a nice fit. Still Sam saved us from the plague that was Terrell “oww my ankle” Brandon.

Next year Pryzbilla will get some minutes and who knows maybe the Turkish project would like to take a shot at the NBA. Then we will bang to our hearts content and there isn’t a damn thing Stu Jackson can do about it!!

but I’ve been listening to Karl complain for so long that it just slides off me anymore. I can’t read a breakdown of any game he’s marginally involved in without some mention of the officiating. And yet again he’s corrupted a relatively good bunch of kids (with the exception of the odious Cassell) into making excuses for losing that don’t involve their play. It’s disturbing. It is also a self fulfilling prophesy. If the refs are involved in any kind of “conspiracy”, it does not involve marketing at all, it involves the fact that Karl has been heaping abuse on them after EVERY LOSS for as long as he’s been a coach.

My two cents. I should reveal my bias as a Sixers fan, but I should also reveal that as players, the Big Two (no Cassell) have always been some of my favorites. Ray Allen and Robinson are hard workers and good players. I attribute their whining of late directly to the influence of Karl.
