This perfectly illustrates how there is always one side in this argument who has no end of imagination regarding how dangerous a (usually black) victim of police violence might have appeared but has (or pretends to have) absolutely no imagination regarding non-violent ways that police might handle a situation.

You have appeared to have guessed incorrectly but you are entitled to your opinion. It doesn’t change the situation. A clarification was requested.
It’s funny because he’s talking about a kid who’s already had a rough life and is now traumatized and was treated like he didn’t belong with his own family. You slay me, doorhinge!
Hope you feel better soon.
I for one would be pretty pissed off to find police used pepper spray in my house even if it was a burglar. Fuck, let him steal whatever he wants it’d be cheaper than replacing carpet or furniture. That shit would make the area unusable for some time.
I’d be pretty pissed off if they pepper sprayed my belligerent kid too.
Lest I come off as unsympathetic to the police, I do feel sorry for them. For a minute there they must’ve been sure they’d caught the notorious What Are You Doing In My House? Bandit. Imagine their disappointment. The Bandit’s gender is unknown, but he or she has been terrorizing homes around the U.S. for decades. The police have come close many times and on some occasions they have even claimed they’ve killed the Bandit, primarily during drug raids accidentally served on the wrong homes. But somehow the Bandit always strikes again. One day, though!
I’m sure he’ll be a good nigger by keeping his papers current and on his person at all times, you betcha.
There was a time when periodic lynchings were available to keep those uppity folks in their place. Now we have to do with poorer substitutes like pepper spray. Still, he might have learned his lesson.
Prove that isn’t not a coincidence that every single one of these highly-publicized incidents that rarely lead to charges and convictions has involved a black person.
Regards,
Am I Doing This Right?
You’re saying they are being let off easy because their black right? If he was white the police would have pressed charges after pepper spraying him?
Or are you talking about the police? Hasn’t it been explained to you enough that if the police did it it’s because the victim deserved it? Of course they wouldn’t have charges pressed against them, they are above the law.
Be sure to tell all your neighbors not to call the police if they ever hear or see anything out of the ordinary occurring at your place. Or you could place a sign in your yard telling everyone that you don’t call the police.
I don’t know him well enough to make that assumption myself but I’ll accept your assessment of the situation.

When you say, “we”, are you referring to you?
You missed a great deal of sarcasm there.
I wonder who chooses to “highly-publicize” certain incidents while ignoring so many others?
Must be the cabal of black people who run the media. (I don’t suppose I should ask which incidents you’re talking about.)
It’s a man bites dog thing Marley. Pepper spraying a white juvenile delinquent doesn’t sell newspapers or get you to watch the 11 o’clock news. Either that or police never pepper spray white folks. Wonder which it is?
Juvenile delinquent! Nice touch!
Yes, that must be it. The police so rarely resort to violence against black people it’s instant national news every time it happens. I’m convinced!

“Mr. Currie became very volatile, profane and threatened physical violence toward the police officer,” police in this Raleigh suburb said Wednesday in a prepared statement. “In an effort to calm Mr. Currie, the police officer asked him several times to have a seat, which he refused. Mr. Currie became increasingly belligerent and profane and the police officer attempted to restrain Mr. Currie with handcuffs to insure the police officer’s and Mr. Currie’s safety. Mr. Currie then struck the police officer’s left arm knocking the handcuffs to the floor.”
So weird that it took until now for the police to mention that he threatened to harm them. First he was “threatening and belligerent” and didn’t follow orders, then he was “profane, threatening and belligerent.” Now they say he threatened directly to hurt them. Somehow they forgot to explain that and didn’t even charge him for it. Phew. This is totally believable!
