But that’s why she would be good. It adds to the tension.
I meant the character is a teeny-bopper.
Also I don’t think she is married. She’s wearing the ring for some other reason. Or she was married and is a widow…or something.

The character is 18 years old? Really?
Or perhaps has a same sex spouse.
Not her age-- her personality. An eccentric, full-of-herself, college student type. Torn jeans, stringy hair, a gee-whiz way of expressing herself…not a professional woman. That’s a teeny-bopper at any age.
In what way? That’s what Mossad is most famous for, and rightly so.
Besides, I dig hot chicks with guns!
Are such people even tolerated in top-secret government agencies? The government employees in positions of responsibility that I’ve met were all uptight and humorless in the extreme.
Hel-LO! Of course, she wouldn’t be tolerated.
I think when she knocked him over, pretty much out of sheer panic, he dropped his gun, which she then, off camera, recovered in the process of subduing him. So really, she was subduing an unarmed assailant - something she readily explained by having 3 older brothers.
This is definitely going to create an interesting dynamic but one that possibly has just the right amount of mild tension appropriate for a show that caters to the demographic I think NCIS skews towards. (I don’t mean to call you all old farts really, I mean I watch the show too after all. :))
I’m not really sure how this will work though. The mcgee-abby connection was pretty well established and seemed to be working pretty well for the show. However EB does bring a whole new analytical skill set, so it’s hard to predict exactly what they have planned.
[Voice of Graham Chapman]: I meant that rhetorically! :dubious:
Sometimes when I’m lonely, like possibly now, I reply to rhetorical comments. Is that really so wrong?
It beats talking to yourself. It’s one of the main reasons I have an internet subscription.
You mean all of you are real…not figments of my imagination?
Any comments on the female SECNAV who has never served? At least Jenny had field experience (in more ways than one).
It’s hard to say to be honest. Some of the voices say that just to screw with you.
Wasn’t the previous SECNAV a civilian, too? As an old guy, I like having another steamy middle-aged redhead babe in the cast.
I like this one better than Jenny. I hated the way Jenny kept referencing the Old Days with Gibbs when he clearly was not interested. Ick. You shouldn’t do that when your ex stonewalls you.
I keep meaning to say that I love your screen name. Are you a Hornblower fan, too, by any chance?
Jenny was just the NCIS director, not SECNAV, but I think this new gal is supposed to remind us of her a bit.
I liked the TV movies with Ioan Gryffud, but Horatio Hellpop is a comic book reference, for an unusually compelling superhero called Nexus.
I knew that. :smack:
Yeah, the Hornblower series was fantastic. Very true to the books. The theme music was sublime.
I’m not familiar with any comic books.
Given Gibbs’ history with redheads, which somehow I’d forgotten about, I have to wonder if the writers don’t have another love angle planned for this season like the Jamie Lee Lewis angle of yore. It took a really long time for them to get that properly tuned and when they finally did they just dropped it like a hot steaming pile.
I’ve seen a couple movies in the Hornblower series and rather liked them but I didn’t watch them in series and have always meant to. I think I finally managed to track down the first dozen or so. Maybe someday . . .
There were only four movies in this particular series.
Scroll down to 1998-1999. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0344435/?ref_=tt_cl_t1
That seems to be an actor link so I couldn’t tell what you wanted me to look at.
Here is the 8 part series I have. I thought there were more parts but I was wrong. I’m pretty sure though that there are more shows based on this story but I’d have to look. If you scroll to the bottom, there are several external links to Hornblower movies I think.
