I’m into the fifth season of Psych and totally digging it. (Watched the tap-dancing episode last night – yowza, Dule Hill really can dance!)
Thanks to all who recommended it.

Geez, I’m on about the 4th episode of the first season (but I think I’ve watched the whole thing twice, so I’m okay with that).
If you’re a Twin Peaks fan, there’s an episode called Dual Spires where they do a Twin Peaks type episode and bring back (IIRC) 6 of the Twin Peaks cast members that all play different characters from the original show.
This is a common misconception. Two blond parents can have a child with brown hair. Two blue eyed parents can have a child with brown eyes as well.
I’m not a biologist, but from what I understand as a layman the factors that determine hair color are a bit more complex than the Punnett squares we learned in high school.
Some relevant links about hair and eye color:
Huh, you mean not everything I learned in science class 45 years ago is strictly correct? Go figure.
Just finished Season Five – great cliffhanger:
Lassie realizing that Shawn and Juliet are together
Since I was never a Twin Peaks fan, though, the Dual Spires ep didn’t do anything for me.
One of my favorite network shows is Parenthood, which even features the actor who played Lorelei on Gilmore Girls as one of the prominent characters. And Netflix does have the first three seasons available for streaming.
A favorite gag on Gilmore Girls was Lorelai recommending CSI to Emily, who said she didn’t care for the new trend of MEs and such on tv. They later flash back to Lorelai, 17 and pregnant, watching Quincy, ME 20 years before. ![]()
As for my recs - *Pushing Daisies *and Wonderfalls are great, but PD was dropped from Netflix (it’s still on Amazon Prime, if you have it) and Wonderfalls has never been available for streaming, as far as I know; glad I’ve got the DVDs.
The BBC’s Robin Hood is available, and pretty light.
I’m currently watching Murdoch Mysteries, a great period procedural show from Canada, sort of like Copper or Ripper Street, only much much lighter and more fun. I completely adore it.
I have no idea if it’s available on whatever service you use. Where I live there aren’t any such services at all, so I must use alternative means (DVDs usually, but not always).
Scott and Bailey should fit the bill.
