Stupd question, but I am having a mental block. What is the word for a line of people following like a small parade? I want to say “precession”, but apparently I am confused with an astronomical term. What word am I thinking of?
prOcession
As in funeral procession.
“Procession”
Crap, I thought I was the first to reply.
Ah, thanks! See? Mental block!
Or if you’re in New Orleans, a Second Line.
Typing “small parade precession” into Google will show results for “small parade procession”.
We used to have a parade every year in my home town, as do most towns presumably, and it was officially known as The Festival Procession. I’m not sure why they chose that name. Perhaps it’s an antiquated term from the 19th Century.
Sheep.
