My 7 year old likes the Eyetoy game. It comes with a little camera that plugs into the PS2, and the player has to wave her arms around to do things like kill ghosts or smack bugs or wash windows. I got mine on clearance at walmart for about 8 bucks.
Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and Maximo: Army of Zin are fun, too. The first one features skeletons decently clothed in boxer shorts, and in the second one you get to kill robots.
I bought a PS/2 yesterday just to play Guitar Hero. We plugged it in last night, and couldn’t stop playing. It’s wildly fun. In fact, I’m going to go play it some more right away.
Everyone I’ve ever talked to who has played the game has absolutely raved about it.
We have SSX3 for the gamecube, and it’s our second-favorite game.
Yep. DO NOT BUY X-2. It’s teeth-grindingly annoying and serves only as a chunk of fanservice and does nothing to extend the fantastic experience that was FFX. claws at self
And other people have already pointed at Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. The first one is more RPG-y than the second, which is a bit more platformlike. But if your daughters aren’t fans of a great plot, that might be a bit of a detractor.
The first 3 games in the Ratchet&Clank franchise are freaking hilarious. The series has plenty of replay value, and you can upgrade subsequent games with saves so that if you have, say, the RYNO weapon from Game 1, you can play with it in Game 2 and 3. #4 is more of a multiplayer game, so I didn’t pick it up. (who the heck would I play against?)
