Need an UnZipping Program

I’m looking for a FREE unzipping program. The only file types that it MUST be able to unzip are *.zip and *.mim. PKUNZIP used to be a great program but now they charge like $29 for it. Anybody know of a good free easy to use program. (The easier to use the better, it’s going on a computer at work for someone that doens’t know all that much about computers. When he get’s E-mails that are zipped, he just wants to be able to download them, unzip them, find them, and read them. Like I said, PKUNZIP was great, but I’m not going to pay for it.) Anybody know of a good program.

BTW I should mention that I’ve already tried FreeZip, MPack, MUUnpack, and ZipItFast, I wasn’t really happy with any of those. Also, he’s not going to do well with anything that only runs in Command Line Mode, and he won’t need to compress anything so that’s not important. Just a cheap easy unzipper.

If you don’t need all the bells and whistles, http://www.winzip.com is very good. It too costs $29, but there’s an evaluation version that’s free.

Yeah, I’ll second winzip. It’s free and piss-easy to use ;).

Try download.com they have lots of programs of any kind. Is this for a PC?

My best experience has been with Zip Central. My most stinging criticism is that it has an extremely fugly icon—other than that, it’s been flawless.

With the WinZip evaluation copy, do I have to worry about it expiring, or doing something to get you to buy the full version (ie…stalling for a minute before running)

Nope. I think there are extra things you can do with the full version, but you can use the eval version pretty much forever. When you launch it, it counts the number of days since you downloaded it, but even if you’re past the eval deadline it simply says your evaluation time has expired. Granted, at this point you should get the full version, but unless you’re extremely hardcore, I don’t see why you need to - I use the eval all the time.
