I share a house with family members. It’s a Bi-Level built on a slab so there is no easy access to ductwork.
They live in the top floor and I’m on the ground floor.
During the summer even with the vents closed it’s cold in my section because they are hot upstairs. In the winter it’s cold because the upstairs is warmer.
I can’t open windows in the summer because they are concerned about someone entering through the window and I do have an oil filled heater for one room in the winter what can be done to make it more comfortable?
Is there a way to turn this into a dual zone system that would not require ripping up walls to get to the ducts?
