Actually, there have been quite a few times where I wished that second user names were allowed. Of course, I didn’t make a second one bcause they aren’t.
The reason is pretty simple. I wouldn’t be afraid of airing an unpopular opinion or anything like that, but I do have some real-life friends who post on here sometimes. Now, I’m content with the anonymity of the board, but there are some topics that I just don’t feel comfortable having my real friends know about.
But whatever. I understand why the rule is in place and that the Mods can’t just allow the responsible ones to have a second user name. Carry on.
