So last night GSN played an episode of “I’ve got a secret” from 1972. First there was a group of people formed a ring around the host, Steve Allen, and a spokesman for the group, a guy with long hair and very bad comb-over. Their secret was that they were skydivers going for the world record for most people in a group freefall. The number of jumpers was 24 (although only 23 appeared on the show, and Steve Allen didn’t want to speculate why ). I remember the guy kept calling the formation a star, even though it didn’t look like one to me.
After that was Alan Alda bouncing eggs off of some wondrous new material.
Anyway, I missed the name of the skydiving group and the member who did all the talking. I wanted to look up the record, or at least an attempt at the record, but no matter what I put into Google I find nothing. I even put freefall into the Guinness World Records website and came up with nothing.
So if you watched that episode, or know the answer some other way and can tell me, I’d appreciate it. Thank you.
