I’ve gotten it into my head to make some wallpaper out of cheap and/or obsolete bank notes (like the Yugoslavian dinar). My current thought is to glue the bills to some wallpaper and then hang the wallpaper on the wall. I’m looking for suggestions on glue or paste that has the following qualities:
- Will keep the old bills from curling off the wallpaper.
- Will be invisible or clear when it dries (in case I slop some of it).
- Won’t make the glued paper stiff; if possible I’d like to be able to roll up the finished wallpaper without it cracking.
Wallpaper paste probably fits the first two requirements. Is there such a thing as quality wallpaper paste? (If so, what would you suggest?) Do you have other suggestions?
