A coworker came to me with her computer. It was reporting NTLDR not found. When I examined the drive I saw the problem. Somehow her drive got repartitioned to 3 three partitions.
There was a 10 gig partition, which was blank, an 8 gig partition that was a recovery partition and then a 100 gig partition that was unallocated.
I had from another HP computer a XP Home CD which I tried to re-install off of.
I was able to format the drive and get to the reboot point. Now instead of continuing the install I gt a BSOD with the following error
STOP: 0X00000007B (OxF8959528, 0xC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)
I know it’s related to the boot device because of the 7B but I don’t know how to decode the rest.
