Need help please: feral puppy

Update:

Moe, our first guy, is doing remarkably well. He plays with our dogs and even approaches us, although prefers not to be grabbed yet. I think he’s going to be a normal puppy in no time. It seems like he was pretty tired of being all alone in that cold, flea-infested cave, and much prefers cuddling on the couch. It’s good.

I spoke with my friend who has the other 4, one of the brothers (Batty) was not getting along with one of the sisters, so we brought Batty here last night to hang out with Moe.Here are some pictures of the little guys.

Batty was the last one to be caught before Moe, he’s been domesticated for about a week now, but I think he’s actually more timid than Moe. We only brought him here last night, though, so perhaps he will improve today. He did teach Moe to use the litter box (all the cave puppies except Moe have taught themselves to use my friend’s cats’ litterbox, which makes having 4 puppies in your laundry room easier.) Moe is already looking less gaunt, and Batty, who has been getting regular food for a week now, looks normal.

They’re sleeping under my desk right now. Thanks again for all the support and help.

Wait, I’m confused . . . is Moe the little guy cowering in the corner in that first picture, who just had a bath?

Yeah. Moe was the last of the five. My friend Sarah was watching the other four because we were dog-sitting for nine puppies and an un-housetrained mama dog (barrels of fun, that). Since Batty was fighting with his sister, he came here to keep Moe company.

They are adorable! And it looks like they’ll grow up just fine.

I don’t know either of you and I’m sure you don’t know me, but please accept my admiration and respect as a fellow animal-lover.

I’ve adopted a semi-feral cat – his mother was a stray who chose to have her litters in a friend’s crawl space. Repeatedly. These friends did all they could to make Mama-Kitty a comfortable nest with food/water and keep an eye on the babies and find them homes when they could. Mama has resisted all attempts to join civilization, but I’m happy to say her furry, orange son has successfully joined our household.

I know dogs are a whole 'nother story. Keep up your wonderful efforts and keep us posted on the progress.

Aw, I love the pic of Batty & Moe curled up together snoozin’. I’m glad he has a buddy.
