I have searched all over the net and simply cannot find a name for this toy I had.
It looks like this:

It was a hopping toy with an inflated ball on top of a plastic disc with another inflated ball underneath the disc.
You would stand on the disc and smush you feet tightly around the top ball and jump up balancing and hopping on the bottom ball.
Pogo ball, right?
That’s sure what it sounds like to me. Is it this?
Pogo Ball is what they call it, the greatest way to have a ball.

Yep, it was a Pogo Ball. I got one for my 10th birthday.

God I hated that thing. Always falling over, and I could never manage more than a few hops in a row. Now, the Skip-It… *that * was a toy.
I did enjoy Skip-It also.
Hoppity-hops. Infinitely better. Transportation -and- a bludgeoning weapon against one’s siblings.
My Skip-It got stuck in a tree 
. Actually I had a generic one, it had a nylon teather instead of the hard plastic, and I think it had a rubber ball at the end. I found that you could throw it REALLY high in the air, and mine got stuck about 40 feet up in a tree. This was probably 15 years ago and I bet it’s still up there.

We called it a “LULU” ball. We probably had a cheap knock-off.
