I need an attorney willing to take on Illinois DCFS concerning an adoption. My son was sexually assaulted in a foster home prior to joining my family. DCFS lied and said they had conducted an investigation which determined my son was not molested. There was no investigation and my son received no treatment, nor did his attacker.
Fast forward 5 years. My son is now a sex offender. I fought the state to have him placed in a residential treatment center. (Was successful only after being featured in the Chicago Tribune.) Now the state is threatening to seize what few assets I have to pay for his care. This is their retaliation for my managing to force them to provide care for him. Their usual policy is to place juvenile sex offenders in new homes without fully warning the new families.
