I like non-fiction, but I am out of stuff to read right now. I just finished Richard Engle’s War Journal and now I am re-reading old stuff. Does anyone have any good suggestions?
Thanks,
Rob

I found “The Mummy Congress” by Heather Pringle to be unexpectedly engaging. It’s subtitled “Science, Obsession, and the Everlasting Dead” but it’s also about the politics of archeology.
Non fiction isn’t really my bag, but I hate that “I don’t have anything to read” feeling. So here is what I do have.
I really enjoyed **The Devil’s Teeth ** by Susan Casey. It’s about great while sharks off the coast of San Fransisco and the people doing research out there.
I just finished re-reading **In Cold Blood ** by Truman Capote. So that is on my mind, and if you haven’t read it, it’s an amazing book.
**Bill Bryson’s ** books are light and non fiction travel stories. I particularly like A Walk in the Woods.
**The new David Sedaris book “**When you are engulfed in flames” is awesome. (Non fiction comedic essays, including a good long one about how the author quit smoking by moving to Japan which was funny and fascinating.)
The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara is a fantasic book about the Civil War, specifically Gettysburg. Not so much Non-Fiction as historical fiction, but I am told it is exceedingly accurate historical fiction.
I also just finished reading Lamb by Chrisopher Moore which is in no way non fiction, but is very funny and should be read by everyone.
Hope this helps a little.
Douglas Adams did a non fiction book that was fantastic called: “Last Chance to See”
is funny and engaging and it has Lemurs in the first chapter!
