I took a bunch of negatives to CVS this afternoon to get them copied to CD, as I have done many times before, but they said this time they couldn’t help me - these are 110 and 126 negatives, and they can only work with 35mm. I’ve looked (online) at several film scanners, but they all specify 35mm film. Anybody know how I can get these pictures copied to disk without going through the laborious (and expensive) process of getting prints made and then scanning the pictures individually? For that matter, will it even be possible to get prints made now from 110 and 126 negatives?
A quick Google search turned up several places that still handle 110 & 126 Instamatic film, this one for example.
If you can, get them scanned directly from the negatives . . . and it’s also easy to make “positives” from these.
If you just have them printed from the negs, then scanned, you’re seriously compromising the quality.
What is it that you ultimately want . . . files on a disk or prints?
