Need advise>
Daughter went to have a cortisone injection in her shoulder. She was in a car accident.
She told the doctor she was allergic to any medication that ended in “caine”.
When doing the injection, he gave her a medication that started with an “M” and ended in “caine”.
She was in immediate serious pain. She went to the hospital and found out he punctured a nerve and she has an infection in & around the injection site.
It’s only been 3 days & she cannot move her arm.
Has anyone ever had this done to them? If so, how long will it take her to recover the use of her arm?
Know anything about the infection?
lpeel, it’s not that we’re not sympathetic to your plight but actually against board rules to solicit or offer medical advice here in GQ, #8 of the rules sticky at the top of this forum.
No homework questions or requests for specific legal or medical advice. We won’t help with your homework, and you can’t expect to get reliable legal or medical advice here, either. It is OK to ask questions about general legal or medical issues in General Questions. However, questions about your own specific situation should be posted in IMHO, since no factual answers can be provided except by a legal or medical professional who is personally familiar with your case.
Didn’t the treating hospital provide some information about the infection and duration? You’d probably be best served seeking the counsel of a different medical doctor if you think your daughter has incurred wrongful treatment.
Medical advice is best suited to IMHO.

Just a side note, but those don’t sound like allergy symptoms to me.
I have to second lieu’s recommendation to follow up with the treating doctor or seek a second opinion.
