Netscape question- Geeks please read!

Hey all-
Does anyone know how to get rid of the items that appear in the drop down address portion of Netscape? I’m talking about your previously visited pages. Clearing the history did not work, and you can’t right click them and delete. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Zette

In Netscape 4.5 or above, click on Edit, then Preferences. From Preferences, click on the Navigator section, then at the bottom of that section, you’ll see a button that says Clear Location Bar. Click on it, and you’re all set.

If you are using an earlier version of netscape, there is no easy way to clear these history files. I suggest upgrading if that is the case.

You might try going to the cookies. that will at least clear the memory of the pages once you further delete them from your pc by going to the recycling bin.

You can also go change your preferences so your pc doesn’t store as many pages.

Ah, easy. Hit F1, select Index, find ‘address’ read, ah, let me do it for you:
When you type a URL in the Location
(Netsite) field, the name of the
corresponding page is added to a
drop-down list below the field. To see this
list, click the arrow at the right end of the
field.

To clear this list:

1.Open the Edit menu and choose
Preferences.
2.Click the Navigator category.
3.Find the Location Bar History at the
bottom of the window. Click the Clear
Location Bar button.
4.Click OK.

If you don’t want a page to appear on this
list, avoid typing the URL in the Location
field. Instead, open the File menu and
choose Open Page. Then type the URL in
the dialog box.
