Never have I ever [Game in Progress]

Never have I smoked marijuana, either.

I have smoked marijuana

…but I didn’t inhale.

one squid with the munchies for you!

I’ve tried it. In college. Much prefer booze.

Never smoked anything but a campfire, and that never intentionally

I’ve never smoked marijuana

Second-hand smoke doesn’t count.

I have indeed smoked marijuana

It seems like

are off doing something entertaining over Easter, so we’ll let them catch up when they get back to their computers.

Here comes the next statement, proudly presented by Chronos:

Never have I ever had a full serving of coffee.

And here’s a full serving of a squid from me.

How else am I going to come down off of the pot?

I have indeed had a full serving of coffee.

Less than half an hour ago, as a matter of fact.

A question to you guys. Last time I played, some people had statements in the form of:

Never have I ever seen movie X, Y, Z

And hence, anyone who had seen any of those movies had to give up a match (since we used matches in that game). I personally feel that those kind of statements aren’t really in the spirit of the game, but what do you guys think?

I agree- single condition statements are better.

Also agreed.

I have had a full serving of coffee

Sorry for being dense, Chronos, but I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “a full serving”? Does that mean a “full cup”? Are you saying you’ve never ever drunk a full cup of coffee?

I have had a full cup of coffee

I have, on occasion, had a single sip of coffee (three times or so). On each occasion, I concluded that I still didn’t like the taste, so didn’t finish it. I didn’t want to say that I’ve “never drank coffee”, because of those sips, but I have never had a full serving (a full cup of standard coffee, or one of those little thimble-sized things with a French name, or whatever).

And complicated Boolean statements are no fun at all, since anyone (or at least, any Doper) can construct one that applies to them and them alone. On the other hand, “I’ve never seen any horror movie” or the like would be fair game.

I have had a full serving of coffee.

Yep. I don’t drink it very often at all, but I have had a full serving.

Yeah, that sounds right!

I assume there are no double negatives as well. “I have never NOT done/been something” and so forth seems lame.
